Have you tried prennial geraniums...they're beautiful too.
They are so pretty! I have some planted in pots on my front porch, I love them because they are so easy to take care of!

Ways of Zion,I didn't have a chance to try these yet, but they look beautiful. Maybe I'll experiment with new plants once we have moved.
