Rested and refreshed

caesareatheat, originally uploaded by Anna's musings.

Another week has ended - passed so quickly I didn't even notice how the days go by in a blur of activity. Fortunately, no matter how busy things get sometimes, there is always the blessed gift of Shabbat to refresh one's spirit.

Here is another photo from Caesarea. Isn't there something enchanting in how ancient ruins look against the everlastingly fresh blue sea and sky? Today was nearly as gloriously sunny as that day during the summer. I think some rain would do us good, though.

USA: I already got it. Shabbat has ended here. Otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here, typing away. :o)

I've never "known" anyone from Israel before. This is really neat to me to see these places from a first hand person that I've read about and known about, but never in a real way.

BTW, if you're ever had an intense interest in South Carolina (haha) I can tell you all about it.

I love the pictures you are posting. A girlfriend of mine lived in Israel for six months this year and got home in July. She had wonderful pictures and stories to tell and she is anxious to return. Thanks for the hair comment. It was "wedding" hair for my niece's wedding. My SIL paid for someone to make it look that good. Normally it's a ponytail or down loose for me.

Oh how beautiful!! I've enjoyed these pictures more than you know!

I know exactly what you mean! This week has gone by amazingly fast for me, and I'm looking forward to our Sabbath tomorrow! That spiritual day of rest and peace is such a blessing, isn't it?

Anna, I deeply apologize for not yet responding to your e-mail. We've been very busy due to Christmas and its preperations, and we've been doing a lot of cooking for when my grandmother is here(tomorrow through Wednesday). I hate to tell you this, but I will be unable to e-mail you back until once she leaves, due to how busy we'll be while she's here. I am looking forward to responding to it, however! :)

Don't worry, Rebekah. I wasn't expecting a reply before your holidays end anyway.

Thanks for the picture! It makes me miss Texas so much, even though I'll be back there next week to see some of the loveliest places I've ever been in.

You're making me want to travel to Israel to see all of the lovely sights :)

I have been reading your blog for quiet a while now, even though I've never commented before, and I just want to say that I very much enjoy it.

Thank you!

Sky blue and ocean blue. There are no better shades of blue in the world!

Reminds me of the stellar blue of Queensland, Australia.
