A few months ago, a lovely lady who visits this blog directed me to a very sweet pattern on www.freepatterns.com. I'm now making a set for a newborn, following this pattern. In the picture, you can see the sweater I've made good progress on (I'll add sleeves later) - and next to it, a pair of sunglasses, for you to get an estimation of its size. The set also includes booties and hat.
Ladies who like to crochet and are interested in the pattern (with detailed instructions in English) are welcome to email me at domesticfelicity@gmail.com, and I'll be happy to send it in a PDF file.
Today, Tammuz 28, is my 23-rd birthday. My "other birthday" is July 17-th, that was two weeks ago. Things have certainly changed a lot for me in the past year! A year ago, I was a single young woman living at home. I had no idea that in just a few short months, God is going to lead me to my dear husband, and shortly I'll be married, move to a new home, and become pregnant! Indeed, this past year left me overwhelmed with joy and excitement. There's so much to do, pray about, and look forward to.

that baby sweater is so sweet! I have been blessed with friends who can make those things so Bethany is getting a little collection :)
Many happy returns and blessings for your birthday! Isn't it incredible how our lives move and change and yet it is all planned before we are even born!
Blessings
Amy
That's so pretty. At the rate you're going, you should have a whole wardrobe ready. :D
That's such a beautiful little sweater.
And happy birthday, it is amazing how much can change in a year.
That is adorable! And happy birthday... I'm not sure how your calendar lines up, but mine is today (July 31), so it sounds like we sort of share!
Kat: the Jewish calendar always "shifts" slightly in comparison to the "world's" calendar. I think next year Tammuz 28 will be sometime early in July.
How adorable! How long does it take you to crochet an outfit like that?
Deb,
It depends on how quickly I work. Doing 3-4 rows a day, I completed what you see here in about a week.
Happy Birthday. Your work is so beautiful. That will be an heirloom some day!
Happy Birthday, Anna! And congratulations, again, on your pregnancy!

Happy Birthday, Anna. I'm two years older than you, and yet I feel like you're so much wiser than I. Oh well, it just means that I have plenty of room for improvement :)

As a man who works with his hands as well as his mind, all I can say is WOW! That's some AWESOME handiwork, which no doubt takes a lot of care, patience, and persistence...

My son was given this same sweater set before he was born. And when we looked at baby pictures of my husband, he had the same set in the mid-50s. It is a family heirloom.
15 months later, I found out that I'm expecting. I really would like to try my hand at this pattern. Do you mind sending the pattern, if you still have it, or remember what it was called on freepatterns.com?
