I'm bouncing away...
... to prepare the Shabbat goodies! It's such a lovely rainy day (the first in this season) and I've been seriously hit by the baking bug. This is apple cake, with reduced sugar and oil and one egg less.
Oh Anna, that looks lovely! Does it have a crumble top? My recipe calls for a light glaze.... and way too much oil(butter actually *gulp*) and sugar too. Some time you should share the recipe, hint hint;)
Anna, Are there any more installments of "The Becky Story" to come? I sure hope so! I love your writing and am still in suspense about what will happen next!
This cake doesn't have a crumble top, but it looks like it does, doesn't it? To read the recipe, just click on the words "apple cake" in my post.
Sharon,
Yes, I certainly intend to continue posting parts of the story. The problem is, it isn't written in English so I have to translate, which takes time (which is currently something I scarcely have).

That sounds so good for a cool fall day. I hope I have enough time to try it this Sunday. I am looking forward to Sabbath so much this week. Enjoy!

mmm I love apple cake! My favorite!
Lurker here. I love reading your recipes and baking tales. How much did you reduce the sugar and oil by? I want to try it out! :)
Thanks,
Andrea
That cake looks wonderful!!!!
Anna Anna Anna! When is the story of Becky coming back? I miss it dearly, it really brightened up my summer drearyness.
Love, Eliza

Andrea,
I reduced the sugar and oil by half.
Eliza,
See my response to Sharon. :)
Apple crumble is a big hit when I was growing up. My son makes a very nice Apple Strudel
