Images from the beginning of winter

It is the beginning of winter, even if it doesn't feel like it, with all the warm sunshine we've been getting lately. The mountains are preparing to welcome the rain.
Pine cones on the ground.

Cyclamens preparing to blossom.
Braided challah straight out of the oven.

Shalom! We have been here in ISrael for a week and have another week left. It is so wonderful here that I know we don't want to go back to Canada!

Thanks for posting the pics, we have only posted a few to our site of the trip but are writing a daily diary.

G-d Bless

Just think of us in Australia melting in the summer heat (almost 100F today and more days foretasted) and it isn't even summer yet. And while you have new life in the garden - mine garden is looking hot and bothered!!

Its quite nice looking at wintry photos as it makes me feel cooler!! We usually have hot Christmas's!!!

The challah looks delicious.

I'm up north of you in Lebanon. We've had our rains start with wild abandon. Two weeks ago we had 5 days straight and this weekend we had some as well, but not nearly to the same extent.

After 3 years in Kuwait this is heaven!
