Pretty knitting

The beautiful dishcloths and pretty little dress were knitted for us by my friend Rose. I'm sharing them here so that you, too, can admire Rose's very skillful knitting.

Hand-made items are my very favorite kind of gift, because of all the time and love that goes into them.

Very pretty little dress. It looks comfortable and it's a gorgeous colour. I agree with you about the gift. If someone takes the trouble to make you something and puts their time and love and skill into it, then that is the best gift possible.

I love getting and receiving hand made gifts. I am knitting washclothes for my girlfriends daughter who recently became engaged. They live in another state so I can't join all the festivities and this is my way of letting her know how happy I am for all of them.

Beautiful - someday I'll knit this well - I hope!

So pretty!

Oh, Anna, I like your wish list! I am a very beginning sort of cook, and Nourishing Traditions is so great. I just got it recently. I hope you get it, too, if you want it.

Very lovely. Baby sweaters are such fun to knit, because they usually go so quickly. I especially love the way the hems were fashioned, with the picot turning rows.

What a charming jacket. Rose has done a beautiful job. And that is the wonderful waffle wave dishcloth. It's good to see it's made its way over to your neck of the woods, Anna.
