New arrival

Dear friends,

I don't have more than a few minutes right now, but I wanted to check in and tell you all the happy news: we are now parents to two precious little girls. Our second daughter joined our family 5 days ago, 1-st of Tishrei, the evening of September 8-th. I just had time to light Rosh HaShana candles before we felt it's time to head off to the hospital. She was born around 22 p.m, only a couple of hours into the new year. We spent just about 3 hours in the delivery room, and my dear husband was very supportive all along.

I went to 43 weeks and 3 days (!), but praise the Almighty, we had the patience to wait and I went into labor on my own and gave birth with no intervention. Just a note of encouragement to all the "overdue" moms out there!

We are still unsure about a name. I hope to post another update with the name and the full birth story soon. Just thought I'd mention our internet connection has been a bit wacky recently, which is the reason why it took me a while to update and might take a while to update again.

In the meantime, we'll be spending our time resting, recuperating and adjusting.

Wishing all my Jewish readers a wonderful beginning to this new year!

Dear Ana,

Congratulations! Your life is now blessed more than before due to the arrival of your beautiful baby girl!

I have been reading your past posts and I must say that they have touched me completely. I stopped having children after my third child was born due to her special needs and I regret the decision to this day. It was fear, plain and simple, that kept me from following My Lord's command to be fruitful and multiply.

As of now, I am enjoying my daughter immensely and truly living a joyful simple life as a mother.

Thank you Anna, for your honesty and for continuing to be the woman Our God wants all of to be.

Shalom!

May Our God, Our Father continue to watch over you and bring you peace and love.

Dearest ((Anna)) I actually came by days ago and wrote out a good long note to you (you know how long-winded I can be ;o) and in the end it was *lost*, much to my disappointment (and *frustration*!). So, I'm finally back to try again. Congratulations, on the birth of your precious baby girl, dear, sweet friend. I was so thankful to hear that things went very well, and the labor was shorter this time, but also understood the disappointment with the way that things can be in the hospital. Shira, must be delighted with her new little sister--and sweetness of friendship will only grow and grow as time goes on. So happy for you and your beautiful family. Do rest and go slowly as you settle in with a new little one to love, in addition to everybody else. Much love to you, ((Anna)) Please hug and kiss both of your treasures for me. xo
