Some crafts

Even though life has been very busy around here lately, and perhaps because of it, I found the time to do something little on the side, in the few spare moments I have here and there.
Above: a crocheted placemat. Just because I felt like it.
And a seashell necklace I made together with the girls. They like it very much and take turns wearing it!

Your placemat is simply lovely! Although I toil and spin (in circles!) I have never learned to knit or crochet and really envy those who can do it. I sew and do (ahem!) lovely smocking, so I sometimes trade my talents for those of others.

I love that necklace. Did you find shells with holes already in them, or did you or your husband drill them? Clever way to space them out with pearls, too.

Your crochet is always so lovely Anna, I'm glad you are finding bits of time for it. Love the necklace too.

Lady Anne, I chose shells with holes in them. About half have holes in them, so there's no need to bother with drilling!
